Hello Trutina Residents,
 
We are happy to announce the Phase One Pool Reopening Policies and Procedures have been approved by the Spokane Regional Health District.  If Trutina is found in violation of these policies and procedures, they can shut down our pool so it is critical that residents who wish to use the pool read the policies and procedures carefully and reach out to the office if you have any questions.   
 
The sign-up sheet will be available on Friday, November 13th and the first appointments will be offered starting Tuesday, November 17th.  All the details regarding how to sign up are included in the policies and procedures below:
 
Trutina – COVID Pool Reopening
Phase One – Policies and Procedures
Please read these policies and procedures carefully before entering the clubhouse and/or the pool room.  If you have questions, please contact the office for clarification.  Anyone found in violation of these policies will have their access removed.  Cameras have been added at the West Entrance and in the hallway facing the poolroom entrance.  These policies and procedures are subject to change at any time. 
 
Designation of staff to implement the plan
The following onsite staff are responsible for implementing this plan:

3.      Terry Mathews – Maintenance Technician
4.      Melody Bone – Sr. Leasing Agent
5.      Cora French-Robinson – Leasing Agent
 
Hours of operation and Access Control
  • The pool will be open daily from 8am to 6pm
    • Hours are subject to change depending on staffing availability
  • The South-West entry door and the poolroom can be accessed using your resident key FOB.
    • Residents are required to enter these spaces using their own FOB.
    • RPM staff will verify FOB entries with corresponding appointments on a daily.
      • If a resident key FOB is used to enter the poolroom, without an appointment, their FOB access to the poolroom will be removed.
  • Four appointments will be offered per hour for pool/hot tub use, which will restrict the occupancy in the pool/hot tub room to a maximum of eight residents per hour. 
    • Each appointment will allow for 30 minutes in between appointments to limit overlapping and exposure.
    • Each appointment will allow for one resident or two residents from the same household
    • The hot tub will be restricted to one resident or two residents from the same household at the same time
    • Guests of residents, will not be allowed to use the pool/hot tub facilities during this reopening phase 
    • The sign-up sheet is located at the West entrance of the clubhouse.  Please bring your own pen  
      •  Appointments can be made up to two weeks in advance
      • If you prefer to call the office, they can assist you by adding your name to your requested pool/hot tub appointment. 
 
PPE utilization
  • Masks must be worn at all times, except while swimming   
  • In addition, gloves should be worn by employees and vendors when entering the West side of the clubhouse
 
On-location physical distancing, occupancy restrictions and appointment process
  • CDC Social Distancing Protocols must be adhered to at all times while utilizing all areas of the clubhouse, pool and hot tub
  • A resident who requires care to participate in using the swimming pool or hot tub may be accompanied by a caregiver without physical distancing between them as long as the facility staff is informed about it to avoid misunderstanding and confusion.
  • Chairs and loungers have been moved six feet apart and should not be moved from their current location
    • Chairs and loungers that are stacked in the corner of the pool room may not be used
CDC definition of Social Distancing is as follows:
Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping a safe space between yourself and other people who are not from your household.
To practice social or physical distancing, stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people who are not from your household in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • The bathrooms and shower/locker rooms will be open, however, the following occupancy guidelines must be followed:
  • Shower/locker room is restricted to one resident or two residents from the same household
  • Only one resident or two residents from the same household may use the sink area at the same time
    • If waiting to use the sink, please stand 6 feet away from the sink.
  • In an effort to limit exposure time in the locker rooms, we are asking that residents come prepared dressed to swim. 
 
Hygiene
  • Before using the pool or hot tub, residents are required to shower
  • Residents will be required to bring their own towels
  • Employees and Residents should follow these guidelines in an effort to protect themselves and others:
    • Wash hands often with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds
    • Use the alcohol-based hand sanitizer that has been provided at the South-West entry door
    • Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Cover mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands
    • Stay home if you are sick
    • Stay home as much as possible
 
Sanitation
  • The office staff will wipe down the door handles, locker handles, faucets, drinking fountain, shower handles, toilet handles every two hours
  • At the same time, RPM staff will check the poolroom to ensure occupancy does not exceed eight people.
    • Upon entering the clubhouse, hand sanitizer is required to be used
  • Hand sanitizer is available as you enter the South-West entry door on the left hand side
 
Symptom monitoring
  • If you have a fever or COVID like symptoms, please do not enter the clubhouse.
  • According to the CDC, People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness.  Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.  People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    •  Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • This list does not include all possible symptoms.  CDC will continue to update this list as they learn more about COVID-19.
  • Residents are required to take their temperatures before entering the clubhouse
    • If Resident has a temperature, they should not enter
  • Employees have been educated on signs, symptoms and risk factors associated with COVID-19 and how to prevent spread
 
Incident reporting
  • Anyone who tests positive for COVID after entering the Clubhouse, is required to report this to Amber Burgess
  • We will not share your name with other residents, but this will allow us to communicate possible exposure to others who have used the facility and take appropriate steps to close and sanitize the facility
 
Location disinfection procedures
  • In addition to sanitizing door handles every two hours, we have a commercial cleaning company that does a deep clean once per week
 
COVID-19 safety training
  • COVID signage is posted on the bulletin board at the entrance of the clubhouse, at the entrance of the pool and in the bathrooms.
 
Exposure response procedures
  • If we are notified that someone, who has used the clubhouse, pool or hot tub has tested positive we will close the facility until our commercial cleaning company can do a thorough disinfecting and cleaning of the entire facility
  • We will work with the State of Washington on contract tracing protocols
